About the Kneehole Suite: A kneehole desk from the 18th century has two sets of drawers separated by a small space for your knees. Early versions have a particularly tight leg space. The five prints of the Kneehole Suite use rectangles, squares, triangles, and similar colours to reimagine this space. In each print, the shapes and colours sometimes follow the desk form and sometimes diverge, creating alternate knee spaces. Using perspective and oblique drawing, the kneeholes hover between two dimensions and the illusion of three, playing with empty and solid space.
