Thursdays, 6:30 PM - 9:30 PM
February 22 - March 28, 2024
Instructor: Heather J.A. Thomson
Class capacity: 4 participants

Photo-lithography combines the printing process of traditional stone lithography with digital outputs. Instead of drawing directly onto limestone, artists can use photographs, digital images or drawings to create a matrix on a light-sensitive aluminum plate. Participants will learn how to create digital outputs for photolithography, expose & develop their plate, and hand print their image using a lithography press. This workshop is perfect for anyone interested in combining photography and printmaking.

This class has a maximum capacity of 4 students and is suitable for all levels, no prior experience is needed.

About the Print Instructor:
Heather J. A. Thomson's practice amalgamates her passion for history and her desire to use a visual language. She feels conversations about the past inspire us to reflect on the present, question our values and can challenge us to adopt historical methodologies for a more sustainable future.
