This large, energetically rendered lithograph features a composition of intertwined figures that sways between abstraction and figuration. Coughtry was greatly influenced by the artists Pierre Bonnard, and Alberto Giacometti, and the abstracted human figure - as seen in this image - is his best-known subject.

This edition is signed as a singular ‘Open Studio Proof’ assigned to the Open Studio print archive and is now released for sale. This lithograph was printed at Open Studio in 1988, and the studio’s embossed chop can be seen in the bottom right corner of the print.
