Michael O'Connor

Michael O'Connor is a Chartered Professional Accountant with over 38 years of executive-level accounting and tax experience in industry and private practice. In 2013 he began an artistic practice of digitally-created artworks dealing with the General Anti-Avoidance Rule (GAAR) under the Income Tax Act, which have been custom screenprinted at Open Studio by a series of remarkable artists and printmakers. This new genre became known as "GAART" and comprises an ever-growing suite of artworks.

Since 2014 the GAART prints have been exhibited at various exhibitions and corporate events in Vancouver and Toronto. The series is represented in many corporate and private collections in Canada, the US, Australia, France and other countries. More information can be found at GAARMAGEDDON.COM.
