Mathieu Goupil-Lemay works between printmaking and sculpture, with his investigations into each medium informing the other - sculptures inspiring prints, and prints fuelling sculptures. In this way, the pieces come to be about a fragile balance between the one and the other. Goupil-Lemay likens this sense of the in-between to his being bilingual between French and English. This lingual duality is explored through physical durational processes in his artwork, exploring various methods of multiples and repetition.
