Alysa-Beth Engel lives and works in Toronto. Her art is represented in corporate, public and private collections in Canada and abroad, including the Donovan Collection at U of T. She has exhibited in the UK, USA and Canada. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Art at Queen’s University (1990-1994) and was awarded the Queen's Appeal Undergraduate Scholarship for high academic standing. Alysa learned intaglio printmaking at the Santa Reparata Studio in Florence, Italy (Emily Carr College of Art and Design). She lived in London from 2002-2006, and in this time studied a short course in Portrait Drawing and Painting at Chelsea College of Art and Design in London (2005) and worked at Sotheby’s Olympia. She has organized several exhibitions in Canada and London (UK).
