Collection: Jean Gumpper
Jean Gumpper’s luminous woodcut prints pay homage to the quiet drama of the natural world. Her layered approach captures fleeting moments in nature with a balance of abstraction and realism.
Based in Colorado Springs, CO, Gumpper is Lecturer and Artist in Residence at Colorado College. She has exhibited internationally and taught widely, from Sweden’s Valand School of Art to Anderson Ranch in Colorado. Her residencies include Grand Canyon and Rocky Mountain National Parks, and her work explores new possibilities in traditional printmaking, recently as a visiting scholar at Concordia University in Montreal.
