April 18 and April 25
Instructor: Angela Sneider
Participants will use photo-sensitive printing plates to create rich and subtle photographic images. They will learn to prepare photographic film positives, expose and develop photopolymer plates, and hand-print their images using the intaglio method and the etching press.
Photopolymer gravure is often used today as an alternative to traditional copperplate photogravure, producing similarly high fidelity photographic impressions.
No prior printing experience necessary. Materials are included.
