Statement
This two-layer lithograph came like a dream. Like the little floaters that dance in our vision when you squint, the ideas of parts of a body I couldn't reckon with fell in a saccharine landscape. Sometimes I wish I could place the limits of my flesh in a happier space. My practice focuses on the intersections of disgust and beauty, decay and decadence, and connects material investigations with the shifting physicality of queer and racialized bodies. Completed during the Visiting Artist program at St. Michael's Printshop in St. John's.
