Class capacity: 6 participants
From bold lines to subtle detail, stone lithography offers a wide range of mark-making possibilities. Participants will learn to draw and paint onto the surface of a finely ground limestone, which is then chemically processed before printing. Perfect for anyone who enjoys drawing in graphite or charcoal.
Suitable for all levels, no prior experience is needed.

About the Instructor
Joy Wong (she/they) is an artist and educator based in Tkaronto/Toronto focusing on the intersections of decay, decadence, and material connections with the shifting physicality of the body. Wong was a finalist for the 2018 RBC Canadian Painting Competition and the 2019 Pope Artist in Residence at NSCAD. Wong has held residencies at St. Michael's Printshop in St. John's, Newfoundland, and the Robert McLaughlin Gallery in Oshawa, Ontario. They have received grants from the Canada Council of the Arts and the Ontario Arts Council.
