Instructor: Laura Grier (she/they)
Participants will work with copper plates and acid-resistant grounds to create a range of images, textures and lines. A range of materials will be explored and students will come away with skills to create an edition of hand-printed etchings.
Suitable for all levels, no prior experience is needed.
About the Print Instructor
Laura Grier (she/they) is a Délı̨nę First Nations artist and printmaker, born in Somba ké (Yellowknife). Responding to lived experiences of being an urban displaced Dene woman through Print, Grier’s work is also inspired by the dynamism of Indigenous art practices and uses printmaking as a tool for resistance, refusal, and inherent Bets’ı̨nę́.
