George had no fear. As a young boy George played football. He'd tackle some big guy. Even if he was getting kicked in the head and his face was bleeding, he'd hold on until he got the guy down. To avoid the draft, George joined the merchant navy. They tried to make him cook for the ship because he was Chinese but he fought it and got the union to stand by him. George traveled all over the world with the navy. Each time the ship docked, George and his buddies went to town drinking and getting into fights. He was a fighter his whole life.
