About the Print Instructor
Phoebe Todd-Parrish is a book artist and printmaker from Toronto. She graduated from the Masters of Fine Arts program at the University of Alberta with a specialization in Printmaking in 2018. Much of Phoebe’s creative work explores the relationship between text and image. Letterpress is ideally suited to printing relief processes and is strongly associated with the book arts, which is why it attracted her during her postgraduate degree. In addition to her academic training, much of Phoebe’s letterpress knowledge has been gleaned through apprenticing and befriending other letterpress printers, and as such, she is keen to continue to spread her passion and expertise in the medium to others. Phoebe prints stationery, posters, and limited edition prints from her studio in the Queen West neighbourhood, and is also a sessional instructor in Print Media at Sheridan College in Oakville, Ontario where she teaches first and second-year courses.
