Collection: Andrea deBruijn

Andrea deBruijn is a Canadian artist whose work explores memory, intimacy, nostalgia, and the traces of things left behind. She imagines printmaking as an avenue for the collection of traces and is interested in the narratives and histories that these fragments evoke.

Andrea earned her BFA from Concordia University in Montréal (2012) and was selected for the 2014 – 2015 practicum in printmaking at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity. She has had the good fortune to create prints in many different places: to attend international residencies as far away as Iceland, and to join friends for DIY projects at their kitchen tables. She presently lives in Toronto.
